COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions

The WACA Ground adheres to all COVID-19 directions that are based on the latest advice of the Chief Health Officer.

The following information and frequently asked questions provide essential information for visitors and contractors coming the Ground. Please contact us at reception@wacricket.com.au if you need more support.


The WACA Ground implemented additional processes in response to COVID-19 including:

  • A COVID-19 Safety Plan which focuses on keeping you safe
  • Hand sanitising dispensing units are located around the Ground at food outlets and entry points.
  • Download the ServiceWA App before visiting the WACA Ground and set up your account to verify your identify and your vaccination status.
  • Have evidence of an accepted form of proof of vaccination or medical exemption.
  • Be ready to scan the QR code on arrival using ServiceWA or the SafeWA App or sign xx
  • STAY HOME if you:
    • Are sick or feeling unwell.
    • Have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or are awaiting a COVID-19 test result.
    • Have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 or who is awaiting a COVID-19 test result.

No, there has been no change to the State Government’s mandatory vaccination policy in relation to community sport. As such, community sport (and its volunteers) does not currently fall under the State Governments mandatory vaccination policy. The exception to this is where the sporting activity is being played at a venue or facility that has in place its own Proof of Vaccination policy that must be complied with.
